Join Cub Scouts and Have Lots of Fun!!!
The goal of Cub Scouting is to teach physical fitness, character development, and citizenship. Though, if you ask a boy, he will rarely tell you these reasons for being a Cub Scout.
Boys have one primary reason to join Cub Scouts, and that's to have FUN!
The Pack is divided into Dens, which are groups of boys of the same age. Tiger Cubs are first graders, Wolves are second graders, Bears are third graders, and Webelos are fourth and fifth graders. New members can join at any grade level! |
These Dens participate in age-appropriate activities under the direction of adult volunteers called Den Leaders. These Dens typically get together weekly for meetings or activities, where they learn Scouting skills, do activities, play games and have fun.
Once a month, all the dens meet together for a Pack Meeting, typically it's on the 3rd Thursday at 7pm, at Germantown Hills Elementary School Gym. Pack meetings are for the whole family, and include presentation of awards and advancements that the Cubs have earned, plus songs, skits, and other fun activities.
